Forty-six countries and 130 Church chapters worldwide have assembled for the Fourth Quarter International Thanksgiving of Members Church of God, International which begins this 24th and culminates on the 26th of December this year.
Nations from the Middle East, Far East Asia, South East Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, and large countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Oceania, and other island nations have gathered for one of the biggest and most-attended religious services in the world today.
Through live streaming, the MCGI members from the foreign pool of countries participated in the thanksgiving ceremonies with those in the Philippines, the host country, where the bulk of members are. Attendees included the more than 5,000 new souls who were recently added to the fold in the final quarter of 2010.
In his welcome address made on the first day of thanksgiving, Bro. Eli Soriano reported that in South America, there are now 15 local chapters established, home to pure Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking brethren. The Presiding Minister to the MCGI said these are former members of charismatic Protestant groups for quite a long time. They are the first fruits of the ministry in Latin America when Bro. Eli was forced to leave the country in 2005 due to persistent persecution against him and the organization.
Bro. Soriano has high hopes that sooner, more baptisms will follow and additional locales will be established, particularly in Uruguay to as far as India where he has many avid viewers to his religious programs. His 24/7 broadcasts, live streaming forums, and Bible Expositions continue to penetrate the mainstream scene in the religious arena and reap souls eventually.
Invitations to come to India and other countries where his broadcasts reach persistently flow through his Twitter page and e-mail.
Beginning with the first day, thanksgiving greetings have been heard and exchanged in all locale chapters or coordinating centers which were filled to the brim with members, guests, and observers alike.
An overwhelming number of praise songs, dances, and comprehensive discussions of mysteries in the Bible will dot the second and concluding days of the thanksgiving week.
Ten topics had been prepared according to Bro. Eli, but for the 3-day event, only six topics will be delivered to accommodate other thanksgiving numbers.

The MTV Video Music Awards 2010 had its usual share of interest and moments, with one special moment happening between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, although the two stars never crossed path on stage. Last year, Kanye West caused a scene during Swift’s acceptance speech. This year, there was a forgiveness song from Swift to West, with West singing a song in return, more or less agreeing with the fact he is a jerk, for the most part.

Ryan Grant suffered an injury and missed the entire second half Sunday, but Clay Matthews saved the day with a critical hit on fourth down, locking up a victory on the opening weekend of the campaign.
Grant is a big part of an offense that has Green Bay pointed in the right direction and among the sexy picks to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. His absence could have been deadly were it not for the emergence of Brandon Jackson, who filled in admirably as the Packers held on to fend off the Eagles.
That victory was still in question into the closing minutes, as Michael Vick came on in relief of injured Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb and erased most of a double-digit deficit, but Matthews made the defensive play of the game by standing Vick up on a fourth-and-short play with less than two minutes to go.
It was an intriguing matchup of two teams that figure to be factors in the NFC. Green Bay's play was uneven, but they showed glimpses of the team that many figure to be dominant. The Eagles were even more of an enigma, as it wasn't Kolb, the heir apparent to Donovan McNabb's throne, that led the comeback but rather Vick, creating perhaps the last thing Philly needs right now - a quarterback controversy after week one.

Leonard Weaver, Jamaal Jackson get serious injury
Leonard Weaver is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. Weaver’s knee injury was so gruesome that it’s possible he suffered multiple ligament tear.
Andy Reid announced that center Jamaal Jackson, who had battled back from offseason knee injury, suffered a torn bicept and will likely be done for the year.
Leonard Weaver is also likely finished for the season after his injury. Looks like Howie Roseman will have some work to do to fill out the roster after this game.

Ryan Grant has injury, gets sprained ankle
Ryan Grant has his sprained ankle in a boot on the Packers’ sideline. Grant’s injury does not appear overly serious, but he’s done for the day with 45 yards on eight carries. Usual third-down back Brandon Jackson has come on and looked very impressive in a feature role. The severity of Grant's sprain will determine his availability for next week's game against the Bills.

Hurricane Igor intensifies in Atlantic Ocean
The hurricane known as Igor is getting brawnier, with winds up to 80 mph (130 kph) as it continues moving across the Atlantic Ocean, the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, said Sunday.
At 4 a.m. ET, Igor was 1,230 miles (1,980 km) east of the northern Leeward Islands,. It was headed west at about 18 mph (30 kph), but it was expected to slow down in forward movement over the next couple of days.
"Igor is expected to gather strength and become a dangerous Category 3 on Monday, and may reach Category 4 strength on Tuesday or Wednesday," said CNN meteorologist Dave Hennen.

Huge blast in San Bruno; neighborhood on fire (Video)
San Bruno, a suburb of San Francisco, was rocked by natural gas line explosion tonight. Dozens of homes are on fire at this very moment. No reports on casualties but judging by the video it’s hard to imagine that no one died in this blaze. The wind is causing havoc for the firefighters and the fire at this time is not under control. Here You Have Virus Email Strikes
A new virus is making the rounds and this one seems to be spreading like wildfire. On the afternoon of September 9, 2010 Google's search engine was pounded by users entering the search term 'here you have virus email' or a close combination/variation of these words.
At the time of the initial surge of searching for information on this virus, not a whole lot was to be found on the web. However by evening a bit more information had been learned.
Apparently throughout the earlier portion of the day a virus disguised as a supposed .pdf file began to spread throughout some pretty large companies and organizations. The phrase 'here you have' stems from the subject title of the e-mail in which the malware arrives and became the name of the virus (which at this time has not yet been determined what kind of malware 'here you have' is).
When users receive this e-mail it is accompanied with a link that encourages recipients to click on it in order to be able to read a .pdf. Peter Krause seen together with Lauren Graham
Parenthood co-stars Lauren Graham and Peter Krause recently went public with their off-screen relationship, and it seems things are going very well. Graham, 43, and Krause, 45, may play brother and sister on the television drama, but in real life their boyfriend-girlfriend relationship is heating up quickly.
“One of the things that’s been so fun is that it’s so easy,” Graham said in Redbook’s October issue. “It’s a lot, to work with somebody and spend time with them, too.” But apparently it’s working out fine–even though the two had a bit of a slow start to the relationship.
“I think we liked each other [but] he asked me over to his house to play a board game–and that’s exactly what we ended up doing,” Graham said. “So I was like, ‘This guy doesn’t like me. Who actually plays a board game? …The timing wasn’t right. I don’t think either of us was ready.”

Tom Brady, the New England Patriot’s star quarterback was involved in a two car accident this morning. It is unclear if he was going to or coming from the Patriots training facility as the accident occurred prior to 7:00 AM this morning. Brady doesn’t appear to have suffered any injuries other than whiplash and chose to have the Patriots team doctor check him out instead of being transported to the hospital. Various reports, including that from WEEI, the driver of the mini-van had to be removed via the “jaws of life equipment”.
Brady was apparently driving a luxury car and the other vehicle was a Red Ford Aerostar van. The Boston Globe reports that the emergency call was made at 6:34 AM EST. Accordingto the Globe one vehicle struck a pole and the pole fell. Fortunately, WEEI radio has also reported that the driver of the mini-van did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Naturally rumors are circulating about Brady and where he was going at that hour of the day. Brady was driving an Audi and suffered from whiplash like injuries but they don’t appear to be serious enough to keep him out of the Patriots first game. Chances are he will be hit and has been hit about as hard on the field as he was this morning. WEEI radio appeared to be one of the first media outlets reporting the Tom Brady accident this morning.

America's Got Talent Top 4 Revealed for 2010
The 2010 America's Got Talent Top 4 was just revealed on NBC. The 2010 America's Got Talent Top 4 are singer Michael Grimm, singer Jackie Evancho, performance group Fighting Gravity, and singer/performer Prince Poppycock. These are the four acts that will perform next Tuesday for the chance at the $1 million prize for the 2010 season. That $1 million prize will be announced on Wednesday, bringing an end to the season, and making one of these acts extremely happy that they decided to take part in the 2010 season of America's Got Talent.
On Tuesday America's Got Talent was down to its final 10 contestants, and they all performed for voters that got to decide their fates on Tuesday night. Wednesday was the big reveal, as six of those acts were sent home in favor of the final four. Rich Cronin: LFO prime vocalist
Rich Cronin, the lead singer and founder of the late-1990s boy band LFO, has passed away after a long battle with leukemia, according to reports from TMZ and E! News. He was 35. LFO, or the Lyte Funky Ones, were best known for the 1999 beach-y hit “Summer Girls,” which included the renown of-the-moment lyric penned by Cronin, “I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch.” The video for their follow-up, “Girls on TV,” featured Cronin’s then-girlfriend Jennifer Love Hewitt. The band split in 2002. In 2005, Cronin was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. Two years later, his cancer in remission, Cronin — along with former boy banders Jeff Timmons (of 98 Degrees), Bryan Abrams (of Color Me Badd), and Chris Kirkpatrick (of ’N Sync) — starred in the VH1 reality series Mission: Man Band, about the quartet’s struggle to start up a new band.
Kirkpatrick updated his Facebook profile today with the message “RIP to a great friend Rich C.” Lance Bass also posted to Twitter with the message, ”Sad sad day that Rich Cronin died – was an amazing guy.”

Dallas Tornado in devastation mode
At least three tornadoes struck Dallas County, with two in neighboring counties today. Check out this video. Here’s more video. Roofs were blown off and a semi was slammed into a wall. Weak to moderate tornadoes often occur on the east half of tropical depressions that are the remnants of hurricanes (remember the small tornado near Paw Paw related to “Ike”. Also wind gusts hit 65 mph. A semi was blown off the road north of the border in Oklahoma. Up to 10″ of rain has fallen from Austin up to Dallas, causing significant flooding. Georgetown had 13.2″ of rain and Cedar Hill had 12.9″. Over 11″ fell in Austin. There was one unconfirmed report of 15″ of rain over 48 hours. One fatality was reported when a car was washed off a road.

Tropical Storm Igor forms in the Atlantic
A tropical storm has formed in the Atlantic, off of Cape Verde, Western Africa. This tropical storm, named Igor, is forecast to become a hurricane before the start of the weekend, heading west toward the Lesser Antilles next week.
The system has wind speeds of of 45 mph at the current time and is moving west at 6 mph. This is the speed of a sprint on a racetrack or a light jog.
Projections for this show a similar track as Danielle. A large trough coming out of the Western United States, bringing Los Angeles much cooler temperatures this week, will shift eastward. This eastward shift may turn the system more north after a good week of traveling to the west toward the Lesser Antilles.
Los Angeles residents that are planning to travel to the Bermuda Island area should keep tuned to further forecasts.

The storm could be seen beginning to lower and rotate just after 6 p.m, which are two strong signs that a funnel cloud is forming.
The funnel touched down soon after.
Earlier, a tornado from a separate storm cell touched down in Palmer, which is in Ellis County. That storm cell then moved northeast to Seagoville. Local officials said the storm caused significant damage there, but details were not immediately available.
The storm cells developed as part of the larger weather system that caused widespread flash flooding in North Texas earlier Wednesday.
The remains of Tropical Storm Hermine dumped huge amounts of rain across the area. Many roads and buildings flooded. Click here for complete coverage of the flooding.

Minka Kelly: I Didn't Freak Out on Delta
Minka Kelly claims she didn't freak out on an airplane earlier today ... and never called boyfriend Derek Jeter ... this according to her lawyer.
There's a report circulating that Minka had an epic meltdown on a flight from NY to LAX earlier today when she wasn't allowed to put her dog on her seat during takeoff.
According to the report, it took all seven flightattendants , a personal plea from the pilot ... and a phone call to boyfriend Derek Jeter to calm her down.
But Kelly's lawyer, Marty Singer, tells TMZ ... Minka paid extra to bring her dog on board the flight. There was never an issue on the L.A./New York trip. But Singer says on the return trip, the flight attendant would not let Minka's dog in the first class cabin during takeoff and landing because of space issues. Singer says Minka took her dog back to coach for takeoff and landing and spent the rest of the time with her pooch in first class.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley announced Tuesday that he will not run for re-election in 2011, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
During a short news conference at City Hall, the mayor said he would not run for re-election:
"The truth is I have been thinking about this for the past several months," Daley said, according to the Chicago Tribune. "In the end this is a personal decision, no more, no less." (WATCH Daley's announcement and read a full transcript of his speech here. )
Daley's approval ratings have fallen in recent years. A Tribune poll earlier this summer found only 37 percent of city voters approved of the job Daley was doing as mayor. But his decision could be linked to his wife's battle with cancer.
Maggie Daley was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2002, and this spring doctors discovered that it spread to her liver and lung. She also underwent surgery in March for bone cancer in her leg, the Sun-Times reports.

PS3 Update 3.42 Now Available For Download: Sony Kills PSJailbreak
We were expecting a PS3 firmware update, however, we weren’t expecting the PS3 Update 3.42 because Sony should have released an update to bring 3D support to the oh-so-popular gaming console. The PS3 firmware update 3.42 is a mandatory update meaning that if you don’t install it then you won’t be able to login into your PSN account or purchase something at the PlayStation Store.
Sony hasn’t published the PS3 update 3.42 changelog, however, some folks in Japan are saying that this is a patch to fix an important hardware security issue. Everything is clear now thanks to these words as Sony is looking to kill the PSJailbreak PS3 USB Mod Chip released last week. His technical mastery as a goldsmith put him on par with the world’s most renowned jewelers. As Supplier to the Imperial Court of Russia, Faberge is best known for his unique series of 50 jeweled Imperial Easter eggs dating from 1885-1916. His patrons included most of the world’s royalty and other wealthy clientele of his time.
The new House of Fabergé has the cooperation of two of Carl Peter’s great-granddaughters, and investment from a South African private equity firm. And it has just released the first high-end jewelry collection under the name of Fabergé for nearly 100 years. The aim is to reinterpret Fabergé’s work, not reproduce it.
Fabergé selected Parisian artist-jeweler Frederic Zaavy to create an initial collection of 100 items at his studio in Paris. The collection uses hundreds or thousands of tiny gems on each piece to create mosaic effects on rings, brooches, earrings and necklaces. The collection ranges from $58,000 to $8 million. Featured here is one of Tatiana Fabergé’s favorite pieces in the collection, a $335,000 Fire Bird Brooch.

Fabergé may be a new line but it has the benefit of a name that is known everywhere and is synonymous with the upper echelons of luxury.

College Football: Maryland Terrapins Defeat Navy On Goal Line Stand
The Maryland Terrapins defense found themselves with their backs up against the wall, but for the third time of the day, was able to keep the Navy Midshipman out of the end zone. The Terrapins edged out the Midshipman 17-14, to take home the Crab Bowl Trophy.
The stop was enough to give the Terrapins their first win of the season. Wins were hard to come by last year for Terps after going 2-10 in 2009.
The Midshipman were haunted inside the goal line by the Maryland Terrapin defense. Maryland’s defense bent all game, but never did break against a fierce Midshipman rushing attack.
The Maryland Terrapins had their hands full with the Navy Midshipman giving up 485 total yards.
The Terrapins set the pace early on their first possession, scoring on a eight play 59 yard touchdown drive. Senior running back Da’Rel Scott capped off the drive with a five yard touchdown run.
Da’Rel Scott finished the day with 54 yards rushing on 10 carries.
Vince Murray paced the Midshipman offense running for 111 yards on 13 carries. After only being suffering TFL last year, Murray continued his style of hard-nosed running inside the tackles.
Maryland struggled against the Midshipman triple option attack all game. The Terrapins found their interior men constantly over pursuing the option. The Terrapin defense stood tall though when they were on the goal line, forcing two turnovers inside the red zone.
Maryland was led by junior running back Davin Meggett, who rushed for 105 yards on eight carries. Davin Meggett stepped up for the Terrapins, opening up the Terrapins second drive with a 67 yard scamper.
Meggett finished off the drive with a three yard touchdown run to improve Maryland’s lead to 14-0.

Tropical Storm Hermine heads for Mexico-Texas coast
Tropical Storm Hermine formed in the southwest Gulf of Mexico on Monday and strengthened slightly as it moved toward the coast of northeast Mexico and southern Texas, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. Tropical storm warnings were in effect from Tampico, Mexico to the south Texas coast from the Rio Grande River to Baffin Bay, the Miami-based center said.
On its current track, Hermine does not threaten the main concentration of U.S. oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
